Junior Staff Accountant
About the role
We are currently looking for a Junior Staff Accountant to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with partners and staff and join an organization that puts an emphasis on developing our people.
Your Primary Duties And Responsibilities Will Primarily Include
Account reconciliation, preparation of trial balances, posting journal entries Preparation of Notice to Reader Financial Statements Preparation of bookkeeping from bank statements, credit card statements and other financial documents Preparation of monthly account reconciliations to the bank and various other accounts Preparation of payroll remittances Preparation of HST Returns
A Successful Candidate Should Possess The Following Qualifications
Successful completion of undergraduate degree/diploma and CPA pre-requisites (PEP) A desire to provide outstanding client service A commitment to teamwork and proven leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills 0-1 year experience in an accounting/audit role Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills Experience with the following software is an asset Sage 50 QuickBooks CCH TaxPrep CaseWare We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
