Location: (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: CAD $120,000 per annum Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Platform Lead – Core Banking to lead the design, integration, and optimization of a modern banking platform built on the Temenos Core Banking ecosystem. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, define platform strategy, and drive enterprise integration initiatives while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. This role requires deep expertise in Temenos IRIS Framework, API deployment, integration architecture, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust banking solutions that support business growth and digital transformation. Must-Have Skills Hands-on experience with the Temenos IRIS Framework. Experience deploying and managing APIs within the Temenos ecosystem. Experience performing field-level mapping for Payments and/or AA (Arrangement Architecture) Products to produce Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs). Strong experience with Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and API performance tuning across multiple integration layers. Solid understanding of Temenos Integration Architecture. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with a Canadian Financial Institution (FI) or within the Canadian banking industry. Knowledge of Canadian banking and payment ecosystems. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Core Banking platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to engineering and platform teams. Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available platform architecture. Establish and enforce architecture standards, development best practices, and governance frameworks. Lead platform modernization, optimization, and integration initiatives. Design, deploy, and optimize APIs and integration services across enterprise applications. Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using metrics and operational dashboards. Drive performance tuning and optimization initiatives across application and integration layers. Lead platform-related projects from planning through successful delivery while managing technical risks and dependencies. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, Retail Banking, and Operations teams. Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in platform development, enterprise integration, or platform management. Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical teams or solution delivery. Strong understanding of enterprise platform architecture and distributed systems. Experience with API development, integration technologies, and microservices architecture. Proficiency across web, application, and database technologies. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. Experience working in multi-server enterprise environments. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk. Strong understanding of platform security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. Nice-to-Have Skills Canadian banking or payments industry experience. Experience modernizing legacy banking platforms. Experience with enterprise observability and monitoring platforms. Knowledge of payment processing and financial services integration patterns.
