Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
An Airport Accounting Technician prepares, maintains, organizes and instructs staff on financial reporting and accounting systems.
Duties - Union
-
Maintains general ledger and subsidiary ledger balances by running and reviewing reports, preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.

Prepares and reviews spreadsheets to separate, organize, reconcile and analyze data to provide supporting documentation.

Provides interpretations and explanations on the status of accounts.

Prepares statements for regulatory agencies in support of statistical reporting and revenue claims.

Calculates, collects data, assembles budget and updates.

Coordinates the payment of accounts and collection of fees.

Assists and participates in special projects.

Education and Experience:
Option 1
-
Minimum of two (2) years of an Accounting Assistant level II of experience or higher.

Minimum of five (5) CPA PREP Modules (3 in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent.
Option 2

Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting experience.

Minimum of six (6) CPA PREP Modules (3 in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent.
