WSL Sport & Leisure is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. We are one of Winnipeg and Northwestern Ontario's top Powersport and Marine Dealer's, retailing and servicing: Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Polaris and, Lund, Malibu, Axis and Cobalt Boats. Report to: Accounting Manager Direct Reports: None As Accounting Clerk at WSL, your role will include accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance responsibilities. You will have opportunities to interact with other departments (Parts, Sales and Service), and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Unit Inventory - match floor financing invoices, manufacturer invoices, receiving documentation and purchase orders. Entering major units into inventory on a daily basis, reviewing for accuracy, and transferring unit inventory between locations as required. Manufacturer Rebates - inputting data from manufacturer sites/sales programs into the Sales Department reports, reconciling for the sales department against unit sales, and sales programs. Warranty Claims – reconcile submitted claims to credits received and ensure timely collection of warranty credits. End of Day Review - review and balance end of day process for the previous day's sales transactions, investigate and resolve transactional issues, communicate with Parts, Service and Sales personnel to resolve issues, and audit accounts payable invoice entries for completeness and accuracy. Month End Reporting - reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, take action to clear outstanding items, assist Accounting Manager with month-end procedures and processes, researching variances and reconciliations. Payroll – calculate hours worked and stat hours from submitted time cards, and obtain manager approvals for processing. Other Duties and Responsibilities - prepare and distribute weekly reporting to management, general office organization and maintenance of filing, office systems and office appearance, marketing co-op submissions, parts accounts and inventory cycle count audits/reconciliation. Opportunity to participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. You will be an important part of the team at WSL, and a key inter-departmental connection as you assist with processes running smoothly, and ensuring all major units are accounted for, entered accurately, and all rebates collected.
