Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations & Full-Cycle Accounts Payable • Oversee and execute the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, managing a high volume of transactions via wire, check, and alternative payment methods. • Administer the timely and accurate entry of vendor bills, credit card transactions, and payments into the accounting software system. • Audit and verify employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and reconciliation with backup invoices. Accounting, Month-End Close & Reconciliations • Drive month-end AP close activities, preparing journal entries and conducting complex account reconciliations for major balance sheet items. • Perform comprehensive daily and monthly bank and corporate credit card reconciliations. • Maintain highly organized and accurate historical financial records to ensure financial integrity. Cross-Border Tax Compliance • Manage sales tax filings and compliance for both Canadian and US entities. • Monitor and review various state and provincial tax portals to proactively identify and resolve any compliance issues, notices, or discrepancies. Audit Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner cross-functionally with the Sales and Operations teams to investigate root causes of A/P discrepancies and implement workflow solutions. • Serve as a key resource during financial audits by preparing documentation, supporting schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries. • Provide general operational support and execute ad hoc financial projects and analyses as directed by management.
