Please complete the assessment using the link below when submitting your application: https://assessment.predictiveindex.com/bo/7FG6/PaySpec The Blueprint The Payroll Specialist administers accurate, efficient, and timely payroll for employees across the Tridel Group of Companies. This role plays a key role in ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative procedures related to payroll processing, maintaining accuracy in payroll calculations, and promptly addressing any employee inquiries or issues. A Glimpse of Your Daily Activities Coordinate weekly, biweekly, monthly, and quarterly full cycle payroll processing using Ceridian Dayforce for 1,000+ employees Review and verify data from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and statutory requirements, employment agreements, payroll policies and procedures. Process data entry changes and verify information is complete and accurate. Troubleshoot time and attendance including overtime, vacation etc. Validate deductions and adjustments are correctly calculated. Audit payroll processing. Ensure all payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule. Coordinate processing all new hires and terminations. Prepare invoices and reports in a timely manner following payroll processing deadlines. Address and resolve employee complaints relating to their payroll. Assist with reporting, file achieves, record keeping, and overall department maintenance and accuracy. Assist with monthly balance of CRA, EHT and WSIB. Maintain personnel files with appropriate payroll forms while ensuring confidentiality. Maintain payroll standard operating procedure manuals. Recommend efficiency improvements and revisions to existing procedures and processes. The Architect of Your Success Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner with the Canadian Payroll Association. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or Finance with a focus on Payroll. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in full cycle payroll processing including time and attendance tracking. Knowledge of Canadian employment law, payroll legislation and accounting principles. Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues. Hands on approach to daily tasks. Strong time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
