We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Freight Clerk to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing freight-related invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable activities, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to carriers and vendors. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career in accounting and finance. Responsibilities * Process and verify freight invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. * Match freight invoices with shipping documentation, purchase orders, and carrier records. * Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner. * Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, billing issues, and payment inquiries. * Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation. * Reconcile vendor statements and assist with account reconciliations. * Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. * Assist with financial reporting and provide data as required. * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes. * Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information. Qualifications * Dec in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; * 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, freight accounting, transportation billing, or a related accounting function. * Knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice reconciliation procedures. * Experience working with freight invoices, logistics documentation, or transportation carriers is considered an asset. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems. * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies accurately and efficiently. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. * Bilingual (French and English*), spoken and written.
