Job Opportunity As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks and contributing to strategic financial processes. You will ensure our financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and you will contribute significantly to our financial decision-making processes. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic and fast-paced SaaS environment and is located in Canada. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance Maintain accurate and timely financial records by entering and verifying transactions, including complex reconciliations Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring adherence to policies Supporting tax filing in the US and Canada Support the audit process by providing comprehensive documentation and information as needed Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide financial guidance Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment In-depth knowledge of Canadian and US accounting standards and tax regulations Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant regulations Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across departments Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively as part of a team Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
