The Payroll Admin is responsible for the maintenance of the company payroll, making any necessary changes to the computerized payroll system, monitoring and complying with applicable legislation, handling employee inquiries, and the day-to-day administration of the timesheets. Key Responsibilities Administration of company payroll including producing payrolls, answering questions, correcting anomalies, performing calculations, data entry, balancing payroll registers, producing manual cheques, producing government and Department (in-house) reports and other related activities. Maintaining Employee daily timecards (Ramco & Ceridian) Reconciling Employee benefits (monthly basis) Prepare Declaration of Exemption – Employment at a Special Work Site (Per Diems schedule - Seasonal) Printing Flight pay details for Pilots and AMEs Maintaining Payroll Remittance file Weekly filing Ensure the integrity of the payroll system. Identify, review and implement new or changed government regulations. Administer the apprentice paperwork and hourly calculations for the Industry Training Authority. Other related duties. Skills And Competencies Certificate/diploma in bookkeeping, payroll or accounting or equivalent in experience 2+ years processing payroll for both salaried and hourly employees Unionized payroll is an asset Holder of a valid B.C. driver’s license Have sound knowledge of payroll and applicable government regulations Have the ability to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner Have strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel) Be detail-oriented with a focus on results Be able to clearly and effectively express information and ideas both verbally and in writing #INDSTRIVE3
