Our client, a residential home builder focused on thoughtfully designed, quality-built homes and new communities across the region, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis! The Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations and financial reporting with responsibility for project costing, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who takes initiative, enjoys being part of a growing and evolving business and brings an entrepreneurial mindset to their work. The main responsibilities include: Manage the financial reporting cycle, including period-end closing, reconciliations, financial statements, budgeting and forecasting Oversee construction project costing, including lot-level profitability and budget-to-actual performance Develop cash flow projections, coordinate construction financing draws, and oversee customer deposits and trust accounts Manage core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and employee benefits Ensure compliance with accounting standards, HST requirements, internal controls, and Tarion regulations Lead and develop accounting staff while partnering with construction, purchasing, and sales teams to improve processes and support business operations Apply today to be considered for this exciting opportunity and join a growing team where you can make a meaningful impact!
