Your Opportunity An opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a key member of the Financial Services team and business partner with real estate, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting related to Stantec’s worldwide real estate and equipment lease activities. He/she will work closely with Corporate Real Estate, Procurement, Accounts Payable and other internal departments as well as with external service providers, including landlords. This is a permanent position in the Edmonton office. Your Key Responsibilities * Reviewing lease and sublease agreements to assess IFRS accounting implications. * Updating CoStar leases database and coordinating changes. * Preparing monthly lease payments and analyzing variances. * Preparing complex journal entries for lease accounting and internal allocations. * Performing related balance sheet reconciliations. * Assisting in the 5-day period end close process by promptly identifying and correcting issues. * Ensuring compliance with company policies, practices, procedures. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Exigences

Requires an accounting degree or diploma and a minimum of two years of experience with IFRS 16 or related real estate accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, while experience with Oracle, CoStar, and BlackLine is considered an asset.
