Robert Half is working with a leading publicly traded natural resources company in seeking a Manager, Tax & Corporate Accounting to join its growing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a high-growth organization at the forefront of North America’s energy transition. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will lead corporate tax initiatives across Canada and the U.S. while supporting technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities in a complex public company environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the organization's Canadian and U.S. tax program, including tax provision preparation for consolidated financial reporting. Coordinate and review corporate tax filings prepared by external advisors. Act as the primary liaison with external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities. Lead tax audits, inquiries, and other regulatory matters. Support technical accounting projects, including research, analysis, accounting memos, and disclosure requirements. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under US GAAP. Contribute to SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and external stakeholders to support business objectives and ensure compliance. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support across the accounting function. Qualifications CPA designation (or equivalent) required. Foundational experience in audit and assurance from a large public practice firm is ideal. 5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, preferably within a public company environment. Experience in public practice and/or corporate tax functions. Strong understanding of Canadian and/or U.S. taxation, US GAAP and/or IFRS SAP experience considered an asset. Strong analytical, research, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities. What's in It for You?
