The Senior Accountant supports the Controller with all day-to-day accounting activities and adhoc projects. The position is suitable for an Accountant wanting to advance from intermediate to senior level with a stable organization. *Job Responsibilities* · Positively and professionally represent Reotech Construction and communicate effectively with the owners, customers, trades, and members of our team · Responsible for the full cycle accounting activities: * Enter cash receipts into Acumatica and prepare daily cash flow report * Perform month end closing tasks: Reconcile sales to AR subledger, record over/under billed job cost adjustment and post recurring journals and accruals * Reconcile subledger to general ledger account balances * Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules * Prepare monthly financial statements and other internal financial reports · Supervise the activities of accounting and payroll personnel: * Oversee preparation of weekly cheque runs, internal purchase orders, etc. * Oversee processing of bi-weekly payroll and act as back-up for payroll administrator * Oversee activities of purchasing and inventory · Ensure tax remittances and filings are completed accurately and on time (GST, EHT, payroll, WSBC, etc.) · Assist in the preparation and maintenance of schedules and working papers for the annual review engagement · Other duties as assigned *Required Skills/Experience:* · Completion of a post-secondary accounting program and CPA designation · Minimum of 5 years experience in a full cycle accounting role with supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry · Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Acumatica and assisting in ERP implementations would be an asset · Detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a complex and time-sensitive workload; must be able to work with discretion and be trusted with confidential information · Ability to self-manage, prioritize and problem solve · Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Experience: * Accounting: 5 years (required) * Construction: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * accounting designation (CPA) (required) Work Location: In person
