Financial Accountant

Position Summary: In this role, you will support the financial accounting team in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, treasury activities, and month-end and year-end processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on financial accounting experience within a dynamic and growing business environment. You will work closely with senior team members and be exposed to a variety of accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple entities and industries. Key Responsibilities: Support full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and the preparation of working papers and supporting schedules. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as other financial reports. Prepare financial analyses and supporting documentation to facilitate internal and external financial reporting requirements. Provide support for treasury functions, including daily cash management, bank account administration, cash flow reporting and forecasting, bank reconciliations, and the maintenance of treasury records and related documentation. Qualifications & Skills: University degree or college diploma in accounting / business administration. Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and writing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong business acumen and organizational skills. Energy industry experience, particularly midstream oil & gas, would be considered an asset. Pursuit of, or interest in pursuing a CPA designation would be advantageous. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
