Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Accounting Tasks Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems Maintain general ledgers and financial statements Post journal entries Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports Reconcile accounts Prepare general ledger Manage accounts payable Manage accounts receivable Maintain financial records Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems Collect payments from debtors Prepare bank reconciliations Notify debtors of overdue accounts and payments Computer and technology knowledge Accounting software MS Excel MS Outlook MS Word Quick Books MS Office Sage Accounting Software Area of specialization Accounting Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Fast-paced environment Personal suitability Accurate Dependability Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Organized Reliability Time management Screening questions Do you have experience working in this field?
