The Accountant supports accurate financial reporting by compiling consolidated results, maintaining financial models, and preparing management reports. They also assist with budgeting, journal entries, variance analysis, and audit requirements.
The Accountant, Financial Reporting supports accurate and timely financial reporting by compiling consolidated results, maintaining financial models, preparing management reports and completing journal entries and variance analysis. The role also supports budgeting, financial statement preparation, audit requirements and corporate reporting. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Compile monthly consolidated financial results. Maintain the monthly financial model and validate the accuracy and completeness of financial results. Prepare monthly management reports. Prepare monthly journal entries and variance analysis for cost centres. Support the annual budget process for cost centres. Support quarterly and annual audit requirements, including preparation of requested schedules and documentation. Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation. Prepare ad hoc financial reports, schedules, supporting documentation and journal entries. Complete and support corporate reporting requirements. Ad hoc as required REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 5-7 years experience in a similar accounting role Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA designation Organizational and time management skills with an ability to handle multiple competing requests. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment Intermediate to Advanced Oracle and Excel skills and application (pivot tables, formulas, graphs, ad-hoc reporting etc.) Excellent attention to detail.
