Our client, a well-established organization located in Caledon, is looking for a General Accountant to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with a very strong possibility of converting to a permanent full-time position. This role is approximately 80% accounting and 20% FP&A, making it an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys both hands-on accounting and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities: Support month-end and year-end close activities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules Analyze financial results and investigate variances Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Support financial reporting and management analysis Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies Provide support on various accounting and FP&A initiatives and ad hoc requests Qualifications: 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong systems/ERP knowledge CMA, CPA or other relevant accounting designation is an asset Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents preferred Must be comfortable working 5 days per week in office in Caledon 📍 Location: Caledon, ON 📅 Contract: 6 months with strong potential to convert to permanent 🏢 Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite Interested?
