The Position: We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team, to facilitate the finance function of our diversified and expanding suite of operating and holding companies. You support daily accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist with month-end and year-end processes. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about numbers, accuracy and attention to detail. Hourly wage: $25.00 +, commensurate with education and experience. Primary responsibilities may include: · Assist with preparation of weekly/monthly bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently. · Perform month-end general ledger and intercompany account reconciliations. · Assist with payroll entry as required. · Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. · Assist with recording investment activity. · Help with timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes. · Generate reports for financial analysis. · Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in an organized manner. · Assist with preparing and submitting remittances to appropriate government agencies as required. · Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve discrepancies. · Provide any support required to other members of the accounting team, human resources and management. · Perform other related duties as assigned. · This is an on-site position. Occasional travel between locations will be required. How You Would Fit In: · Post-secondary education in accounting is preferred. · A minimum of 2 years of full cycle accounting experience is required. · Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices is mandatory. · Must be punctual, self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic. · Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to detail. · Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. · Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Quickbooks, Quicken). · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs. · Collaborative team player with a positive outlook. · Bring a can-do attitude with a desire to serve external clients, customers and vendors, and support internal peers and leadership team!
