Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate collection activities. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment deductions, and chargebacks through supplier portals used by major food retailers. Prepare, validate, and issue accurate customer invoices. Build strong customer relationships and respond to payment-related inquiries professionally. Accounting Operations Support the full accounting cycle and daily accounting activities. Record invoices, payments, receipts, purchases, and sales transactions. Process and verify customer orders while ensuring pricing and terms are accurate. Assist with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as needed. Support month-end accounting processes and maintain accurate financial records. Financial Reporting & Reconciliations Perform bank and account reconciliations. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies. Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Team Support Work closely with the Controller on day-to-day accounting operations. Support and mentor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members when needed. Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment where everyone pitches in. What We're Looking For Diploma (DEP, DEC, or AEC) in Accounting or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role. Previous experience within the food production or food distribution industry is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle. Solid Accounts Receivable experience, including collections, reconciliations, and customer account management. Experience working with supplier portals used by major grocery retailers (such as Sobeys, Loblaws, Metro, Costco, Walmart, or similar) is considered a strong asset. Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as Sage, SAP, Acomba, or similar platforms. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team. Fluent French (spoken and written).
