Position Summary We are seeking a career-minded Senior Accountant who brings a balance of sharp financial acumen, operational curiosity, and a long-term leadership mindset. This is a key role on our Finance team, with knowledge of the U.S. and Canadian entity’s P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced CPA who has spent time in private accounting with hands-on experience in a mid-sized, fast-moving company. You're now looking for your next step—a role with influence, exposure, and the opportunity to grow into a Controller or Finance Director position within 2–4 years, based on performance and company growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare, analyze, and report monthly and quarterly financial results for the U.S. entity Manage entity’s balance sheet integrity and ensure timely reconciliations Develop and monitor weekly cash flow forecasts and reporting Contribute to month-end close for both U.S. and Canadian entities Assist with intercompany transactions and consolidation Help build robust reporting packages for executive leadership Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation Identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation opportunities Lead select audit preparation activities (internal and external) Collaborate with operations, sales, and service teams to support financial understanding and accountability Provide insights that drive performance and support strategic decisions Success in This Role Looks Like… Accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting by Day 5 each month Meaningful cash flow forecasting that supports proactive business decisions Audit-ready reconciliations and internal controls Trusted as a go-to finance partner across departments Visible contribution to building a scalable, future-ready finance function Tools We Use Reporting & Analysis: Power BI, Microsoft Excel Collaboration: Outlook, Microsoft Teams Qualifications CPA designation (Canada or U.S.) 3–5 years in private industry, ideally in a mid-sized, growth-oriented business Preferably with knowledge of Canada and U.S. GAAP Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools Advanced Excel skills Proven ability to own and lead financial reporting for a business unit or division Who You Are Serious about your career – You’re motivated to grow and step into a leadership role Hands-on and detail-oriented – You thrive on accuracy, ownership, and accountability Business curious – You ask “why”, connect financials to business operations, and offer insights Grounded and humble – You collaborate well and don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves Values-driven – You align with our core values: Accountability, Customer Success, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement What We Offer A seat at the table in a growing, entrepreneurial company Exposure to cross-border operations and senior leadership Competitive compensation, including: Annual performance-based bonus CPA support and continuing education Mentorship and a clear career path toward a Controller or Finance Director role A culture that values service, excellence, and people Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $75,000-$80,000.00 per year Additional pay: Bonus pay Commission pay Benefits: Casual dress Company events Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: Accounting: 3 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: CPA (preferred) Work Location: Milton, ON
