Emerald is seeking a Payroll Specialist with Candian Payroll experience to support our Accounting team. Role Responsibilities: •Processing of bi-weekly multi-province / multi-entity payroll for 100+ employees in our payroll platform, Rippling •Maintain payroll records •Review changes to employee data •Reconcile and fund bi-weekly pension contributions •Respond to payroll related questions and inquiries •Process electronic payments •Process garnishments •Complete employment verifications •Assist with internal and external audits •Process accurate and timely year end reporting, similar to W-2 process •Complete journal entries and monthly account reconciliations •Special projects as needed Qualifications: •Associate’s or bachelor’s degree •1-3 years Canadian payroll experience •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications •Knowledge of Rippling a plus •Excellent attention to detail About Emerald At Emerald, we strive to foster a diverse and inclusive community. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Target Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
