What to expect: The Lead Auditor – Structural Steel Standards CWB Registration is responsible for leading and overseeing audits related to CSA-A660 and other related standards. This includes auditing of companies, visiting job sites, liaising with building inspectors, engineers, current and prospective clients. This includes: * Auditing Standards (CSA-A660 and other related standards) * Promotion of certification, quality registration and education activities. The position will work out of their home office with extensive travel to sites within Western Canada and that may include all over Canada and international travel. What you bring to the table: * Post-Secondary Degree; Civil or Structural Engineering, Building Engineering Technology - Structure, Structural Design or equivalent * Working knowledge of CSA-A660 Standard * Strong understanding of National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and/or Provincial Building Codes and standards governing structural steel design * Solid Industrial background (preferably in the metal fabrication area) * 3-5 years of experience The following qualifications are considered assets: * Experience as a structural design engineer in steel structures an asset * Solid Industrial background in the metal fabrication area; * Have worked for a company that is certified to CSA A660 would be an asset * Asset have worked as a connection design engineer for a steel fabricator * Third-party auditing experience would be an asset * Possesses excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Demonstrated planning, organizing and follow-up skills * Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet appropriate deadlines * Willingness to travel (Canada and international) in designated territory as required; own vehicle and a valid driver’s license is mandatory for this role What’s in it for you? * Competitive salary structure * Comprehensive medical benefits for you and your dependents * Flexible work schedule * RRSP and pension program * Structured career development: we offer education and training opportunities to help you reach your goals Accommodation: The CWB Group is committed to providing accommodation to job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
