Accounting Specialist (Remote)

Role: Accounting Specialist (US GAAP / French GAAP) Engagement Type: Freelance, Remote Compensation: $100–$125 per hour Commitment: 15–20 hours/week (preferred); minimum 10+ hours/week. Start: Immediate | 24-hour fast-track onboarding required Key Responsibilities Translate real-world accounting workflows into structured tasks for AI systems Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, logical reasoning, and regulatory compliance Work on use cases including financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and corporate accounting processes Identify gaps, edge cases, and inconsistencies in AI-generated financial reasoning Clearly document assumptions, analytical reasoning, and decision-making processes Provide structured feedback to improve AI model accuracy and accounting domain understanding Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting (8+ years preferred) Recent, hands-on experience as a CPA, Tax Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Regulatory Specialist Strong understanding of US GAAP (experience with French GAAP is desirable) Experience working with financial statements, regulatory reporting, or audit processes Detail-oriented with the ability to evaluate nuanced financial scenarios Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment Work Style & Expectations Work is primarily asynchronous, allowing for flexible scheduling Minimal required meetings (typically optional office hours) Seamless day-to-day collaboration and task management handled via Slack and internal platforms Candidates must be prepared to complete the onboarding process and initiate communication with the project team within 24 hours of receiving an offer

The Accounting Specialist will translate accounting workflows into structured tasks for AI systems and evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and compliance. They will also document assumptions and provide feedback to improve AI model accuracy.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and experience in roles such as CPA or Tax Accountant. Detail-oriented individuals who can work independently in a remote environment are preferred.
