We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join the Finance team supporting our companies in Delta, British Columbia. This opportunity is well suited to an early-career accounting professional who wants to build practical experience across multiple businesses and develop their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates who are pursuing—or intend to pursue—their CPA designation are encouraged to apply. About The Opportunity As a Junior Accountant, you will support the day-to-day accounting activities of several Boundary Group companies. You will gain hands-on exposure to accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, and accounting systems. You will work closely with Finance team members and operational departments to maintain accurate financial information, resolve discrepancies, and help improve accounting processes. What You’ll Do Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing transactions and resolving discrepancies. Prepare account and bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and account analysis. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Help prepare internal financial and operational reports. Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting documentation. Respond to accounting inquiries from employees, customers, vendors, and other business partners. Collaborate with Finance and operational teams across multiple Boundary Group companies. Support improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting. Provide limited administrative support related to Finance team operations. Travel occasionally to other Boundary Group locations in the Lower Mainland as business needs require. Perform administrative accounting-related duties as assigned. What You Bring A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. One to three years of relevant accounting experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Current enrolment in—or an interest in pursuing—the CPA program is considered an asset. A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles. Experience with reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or month-end accounting processes. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work. The ability to organize competing priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience using accounting or ERP software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
