The Opportunity: BluMetric Environmental Inc. is seeking an intermediate Bilingual Environmental Auditor with full professional proficiency in English and French. The successful candidate will be expected to support environmental compliance and management system audits. The ideal candidate is motivated, client-focused, quality-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will be expected to travel to client sites across Canada with a specific focus on clients in Quebec. This role combines environmental auditing responsibilities with opportunities to apply technical environmental expertise in support of BluMetric’s other service lines and multidisciplinary projects. This is an existing vacancy within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Assist in drafting Audit Plans and Audit Reports under the supervision of a Lead Auditor. Participate as an Environmental Auditor conducting document review, interviews, on-site examinations, compliance and conformance assessments and reporting. Contribute to the formulation of recommendations based on audit findings. Schedules and tracks and key engagement milestones and deliverables to ensure completion within established period. Provides regular status reports on progress to the Project Manager. Ensures the engagement is conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Professional Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Maintains an elevated level of confidentiality when dealing with confidential and/or sensitive data. Fulfils all internal occupational health and safety training requirements and pursues continuous professional development to maintain and expand auditing knowledge and related skills. Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills: University degree or a technical diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Assessment or related studies. A minimum of four (4) – seven (7) years of relevant environmental auditing, compliance, consulting, or related Auditor Certification with Quebec Association of Environmental Auditing (VEA®) and/or eligible for Certified Environmental Auditor accreditation with EcoCanada (EP(CEA)). Strong background in environmental regulations within Ontario and Quebec. In-depth knowledge and experience with auditing practices. Proven ability to communicate audit findings persuasively and confidently, identify problems and practical solutions, and help stakeholders reach consensus when disagreements arise. Demonstrated expertise in at least one BluMetric service line such as hydrogeology, air quality, environmental risk assessment, occupational health and safety, environmental management systems, permitting, or regulatory compliance, would be an asset. Ability to interact, as part of a team, with clients and teammates and be able to work in project team environment. Project management skills an asset, including the ability to cope with delays, interruptions and reprioritize accordingly. Full professional bilingual capability in English and French is essential, including strong verbal communication and technical writing skills in both languages. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation. Occasional travel is required. Must already have or be eligible to obtain security clearance.
