We pride ourselves on promoting talent when we see it, and work with each professional to define what success means for them.” Your role: Your primary responsibilities will include: Lead and manage audit, review and assurance engagements Research and interpret the CPA Canada Handbook, applying relevant accounting and assurance standards Preparation and review financial statements and working papers accordingly Preparation and review of T2 (corporate), T1 (personal), T3 (trust) tax returns as well as T4/T5 summaries and slips Preparation and review of compilation engagement reports Assisting partners with tax planning and compliances Mentoring and training junior staff Other accounting, tax, and administrative duties, as required What you'll bring to the table: Canadian CPA designation Cashflow experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public practice accounting and tax Minimum of 3 year's experience reviewing audit files Great organization and communication skills Ability to excel in high-pressure working environments Can do attitude with the desire and ability to take on new tasks Experience working in a team-based environment The desire to grow your career in a mid-size public accounting firm What's in it for you: Three weeks' annual vacation Private extended medical coverage Group term life insurance, accident insurance, disability insurance, travel insurance RRSP matching Professional dues reimbursement Paid overtime Where you'll work: Uptown, Westshore, or Sidney, BC Job type: Full-time, permanent Your schedule: Monday to Friday; Flexible start and end times; 1 work from home day permitted per week.
