WHAT WILL YOU DO? * Prepare and record journal entries, including invoice register accruals, purchase order accruals, credit card accruals, contracted services accruals, CIP accruals, and other property-related expense accruals. * Support month-end close activities by preparing reconciliations, reviewing financial results, and ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenues and expenses. * Manage Purchase Order accruals by validating open commitments, reconciling purchase orders to vendor invoices, and supporting the closure of inactive or completed purchase orders. * Perform the job order closing process within Yardi, ensuring completed work is accurately recorded and closed on a timely basis. * Support annual property budgeting and forecasting activities and assist in the preparation of financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for Operations Leadership, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting teams. * Review property expenses, accruals, revenues, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. * Review, analyze, and resolve discrepancies related to vendor contracts, contracted jobs, purchase orders, accruals, and property-level expenses, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. * Participate in process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives to enhance accounting controls, data integrity, and reporting efficiency. WHAT WILL YOU NEED? * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within real estate, property management, or a multi-site operating environment. * Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems is a plus. * Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, job costing, and revenue recognition. * Advanced Excel skills, including experience with financial reconciliations, reporting, and large data sets. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, analyze financial information, and ensure data accuracy. * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
