AIR LIQUIDE IS HIRING FOR A SENIOR PAYROLL ANALYST * This is a full time/permanent position * Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian and US payroll processes Recruiter: * Manon Bélanger/[email protected]/514-241-9029 Job summary: The Senior Payroll Analyst is a key member of the NAM Payroll team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in the United States and Canada. This role involves complex payroll calculations, audits, system testing, and project support, with a focus on compliance and efficiency. The Senior Payroll Analyst will work closely with the Senior Payroll Manager to streamline processes and provide expert guidance to the payroll team. Key Responsibilities * Payroll Audits: Conduct thorough audits of pay runs to identify and rectify errors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations. * EIB (Earnings Input Batch) Management: Process and reconcile EIB data, ensuring accurate input of earnings and deductions. * ACAS (Actual Compensation Administration System) Management: Maintain and update ACAS data, ensuring accurate compensation calculations and reporting. * LTI (Long-Term Incentive) Program Administration (US & Canada): Process and reconcile payroll related to the LTI program for both US and Canadian employees. * Dividend Processing (US & Canada): Calculate and process dividend payments for eligible employees in the US and Canada. * Vacation Payouts (US & Canada, Specifically California): Manage and process vacation payouts, particularly for the last pay period in January, ensuring compliance with US and Canadian regulations, including specific California labor laws. * Bank Time and Sick Day Payouts: Calculate and process payouts for bank time and sick days, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. * Workday Reviews and Testing (Annual): Participate in annual Workday system reviews and testing, ensuring accurate configuration and functionality. * Expat Payroll Management: Run full pay runs for expatriate employees, including housing and gross-up calculations, ensuring accurate and timely payments. * Month-End Processes and Remittances: Execute month-end payroll processes, including accurate remittance of taxes and other deductions. * Consolidation of Payroll Accounts: Consolidate payroll accounts for tax remittances in Canada (including WCB and EHT), ensuring accurate and timely payments. * Payroll Analyst Support: Provide guidance and support to payroll analysts, assisting with complex payroll issues and ensuring team efficiency. * Project Participation: Participate in payroll-related projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and compliance initiatives. #LI-DNI ___________________ ARE YOU A MATCH? Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on US and Canadian payroll. * Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations and compliance requirements, including California labor laws. * Experience with Workday payroll system is highly preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications * Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification is a plus. * Experience with expat payroll and gross up calculations.
