ASSOCIATE, FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING | ACERA BENEFITS We’re looking for a detail-oriented Associate, Financial Accounting to join our finance team. This role involves data entry, reconciliations, revenue recording, and generating commission statements. The ideal candidate should have advanced Excel skills, work well under tight deadlines, and handle monthly and ad-hoc reporting. LOCATION AND STATUS Status: Full-time, permanent Location: Calgary KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Commissions processing and analysis. Reconciliations. Assist in preparing month-end reporting, including production reporting. Assist in the processing internal financial statements, monthly and annual reports. Build strong relationships with internal sales consultants, support staff, and external carriers. QUALIFICATIONS: Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or a related discipline an1-3 years directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education Experience in a benefits environment would be considered an asset Confident user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with advanced skills in Excel High degree of professionalism and integrity Strong analytical skills Ability to maintain highly confidential information High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills Self-motivated; positive work ethic and the ability to function independently and in a team Acera Insurance is the largest independent, employee-controlled brokerage in Canada.
